Welcome to the                 Sevamrta home page

Sevamrta : The Joy of Loving Service

krsna-premodgama, premamrta asvadana
krsna-prapti, sevamrta-samudre majjana

The result of chanting is that one awakens his love for Krsna and tastes transcendental bliss. Ultimately, one attains the association of Krsna and engages in His devotional service, as if immersing himself in a great ocean of love.
                                      Caitanya-Caritamrta. Antya-lila Ch 20 Text 14.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakhur states in his Sri Sri Kalyana Kalpa-Taru (The desire tree of auspiciousness), Second branch, Upalabdhi (Attainment of Realization) Part 3 (sambandha-abhideya-prayojana-vijnana), Song 2 Viasnava Truth, verse 5:

jadi caha nityananda pravaha sevite
avirata, guru-padasraya koro' jiva!
nirasa bhajana samudaya parihari'
brahma-cinta adi jata, sada sadha' rati,
kusimite vrindabane sri-rasa mandale

If you ever want to continuously render service to the loving current of eternal bliss, then just take shelter at the feet of a bona fide spiritual master, oh spirit soul! Then rejecting all types of dry, sapless worship which is devoid of appreciation for higher sentiments, please reflect deeply on the nature of the Absolute, and always endeavour to lovingly worship the circle of the divine rasa dance (the rasa mandala) in ever blossoming Vrindavana.

Sevamrta is a collection of sets of webpages all diferent, but all tied together by a common theme ... broadly: bhakti. Each set embodies its own format for both differentiation and ascetic purposes. The goal of the these pages is to assist the devotees in their quest for finding the sweetness of bhakti; if only one devotee is inspired by these efforts, then it has all been worthwhile. We have tried to make something that is good enough to offer to our beloved Gurudevas ... we can merely pray that they will accept our feeble efforts. Being Vaisnavas of the highest order, we are convinced that they will mercifully accept our humble offering.

            Srila Gour Govinda Swami.

A pageset dedicated to downloadable mp3 audio lectures of His Divine Grace Srila Gour Govinda Swami. Also hosts a small collection of photographs taken in Bhubaneswar and Gadei Giri. Link

             Eternally Infinite.

Pages of instruction for the initiated as well as the uninitiated to assist them to come to grips with a personal crisis regarding the meaning of our lives at times when nothing much makes sense, and at times like these, don't we all need a refresher course, or simply for those who may be curious as to why we live and die or why we exist at all.Link

            Tulasi Devi Maharani

Glorification and mantras to help us to understand the wonders of Srimati Tulasi Devi. Link

            W.A.S.P.

A collection of individual pages or small sets loosely structured with no particular theme. Devotees are encouraged to contribute material to be published @ W.A.S.P., thus the name Webservice at Spiritual Prices.Link

COMING SOON: Those visitors who are interested in a website of their own should click here and check out how easy it is to get internet presence, with a stylish, yet cost effective website, designed to suit your tastes.Link

            Surabhi

A collection of pages created for the pleasure of children, but adults who share some affection for these gentle creatures may enjoy Surhabi. These pages contain far too many images to be considered freely downloadable so they are not included in the menu for general download, but if you have broadband and don't mind waiting between 5-20 seconds, I'm sure that you will enjoy these Surabhi pages, embellished with images and effects gleaned from all over the internet. Unlike most other Sevamrta pagesets, the pages of Surabhi, although always to do with cows, are completely unlike each other, with each page having its own style of presentation. Please click on the link to enjoy Surabhi on Sevamrta dot com.Link

Technical stuff ...
This webpage was designed to display optimally at 1024 X 786 monitor resolution and with the page text size set to medium. Given that some persons prefer larger or smaller fonts, I have endeavoured to construct the site to display functionally at all settings although at some screen resolutions the visitor may have some difficulty viewing the drop down navigation.
Should you experience any difficulty with this page, please click this link for a more predictable home page. For anyone not familiar with text size adjustment to facilitate your view of this and other webpages the method is easy: Above the page on the menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc) choose View and select Text Size and a drop down menu will appear from which you may select a suitable text size according to your screen and/or your preferences. You cannot damage your computer by use of this menu. tkd.
